Become the person you want to be

Move forward from a trauma or loss

Rediscover the joy in your relationships

Accept the Negatives, Rediscover the Positives

Understand and change your unhelpful patterns

Whether you are going through a difficult time in your life and are not sure where to turn, perhaps things seem impossible or unbearable, or maybe someone has suggested that you 'need to talk to someone', whatever your situation, I can offer you the time and space in a warm, contained environment where I hope you will feel safe enough to begin to unload your burden. Together we will be able to see more clearly what is happening and then take it from there to enable positive changes to emerge.

My approach to psychotherapy (or counselling) is "Integrative" which means that I integrate several theories and approaches into the psychotherapy with my clients, and together we will be able to choose the most appropriate way forward. The solid underpinning of all the work I do as a counsellor lies in the knowledge that it is ultimately the developing relationship between client and therapist - that's you and me - that heals .

I am a Registered BACP Accredited Counsellor & Psychotherapist and BABCP Accredited CBT Psychotherapist

I am committed to providing Counselling, Psychotherapy, CBT and Supervision services in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment in the Chesham, Amersham and Berkhamsted and surrounding areas.

I see men, women and couples from any background who may be experiencing psychological distress, or simply want to talk through a current issue.

I am a trained and experienced Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) based in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. My consulting room is 1 mile north of Chesham Town Centre where you will find ample parking space .

My aim is to offer Empathy, Understanding, Acceptance and Authenticity. I am neither directive nor judgmental but I can certainly be challenging.

My philosophy of psychotherapy is based on the belief that it is the therapeutic relationship between the counsellor and client that heals. I aim to provide a Secure Base for each one of my clients. I use an Integrative approach which enables me to draw on a number of therapeutic models, CBT in particular, to work with a wide range of issues. Of particular interest to me is "Attachment Theory" which is so valuable in working with those experiencing relationship problems. The core model underpinning my work is Person Centred.

I hold Post Graduate Diplomas in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Integrative Psychotherapy and a Diploma in Counselling. I also hold Certificates in Couple Counselling, Integrative and CBT Supervision, Bereavement Counselling and Time Limited Counselling.
